-What is “On-Site Neurological Testing”?

Good question. We perform evaluations that include Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS/NCV), Needle Electromyography (EMG), and Evoked Potentials (SSEPs and DEPs) as needed. Our “On-Site Neurological Testing” program was created for Doctors of Chiropractic to provide neurodiagnostic testing services in their own facility. This is a convenience for your patients as well as an effective way to enhance patient care in your own office.

-What are Electrodiagnostic Tests?

Electrodiagnostic studies play a central role in the evaluation of patients with neuromuscular disorders. Injured individuals who have persistent spine pain with pain and/or numbness & tingling extending into the arms or legs may have serious neurological compromise secondary to trauma, disc herniations, and/or degenerative conditions. EDX testing is the only procedure that can delineate the extent of neurological compromise. Unlike MRI, which shows an anatomical representation of the injured tissues, EDX testing evaluates the physiological functioning of the nerves.

-Why shouldn’t I just refer out?

Our staff of certified Chiropractic electromyographers understand chiropractic and soft tissue injuries. Our reports cover areas that many medical electrodiagnostic evaluations don’t usually address. GDA’s reports comment on discogenic pain, myofascial pain, facet pain and referred pain patterns that can often be producing patient symptoms even when neurological injury may not be present.

-How many patients do I have to refer?

There are no patient minimums. We can perform testing on one patient or up to 6 per day. We provide services in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse regions. Our doctors are all local to the area they perform tests in. You won’t have doctors from out of town. Just local doctors that are trained and certified in electrodiagnostic procedures.

-Okay, I’d like to learn more, how can I get more information?

Give us a call at 1-888-568-0505 or via our Contact Form and we’ll send you out an “On-Site” Testing Packet with all of the information. All you have to do is ask! What could be more simple?
